Green Management System Policy

The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has put environmental protection at the top of its activities and gives equal weight to it in all its economic endeavors and macro planning of the industry. In this regard, the establishment of the Green Management System in buildings and places under the management of the NPC is one of our obligations in order to modify the model of consumption culture and create a sustainable culture and spread the culture of optimal consumption, and those responsible for the operation of buildings and places are responsible for planning and implementing the system. HSE directors are responsible for monitoring the good implementation and all the managers and employees of NPC and its subsidiaries are required to implement and comply with the arrangements adopted in this system. The following policies are considered as the principles and framework of the system:

• Compliance with all the requirements, regulations and standards concerning establishment and improvement of the Green Management System
• Planning and taking actions to get the maximum points in the six indicators of Green Management
• Reviewing and modifying processes, activities and structures with an environmentally friendly attitude
• Modifying the consumption pattern and optimizing consumption of resources
• Reducing waste generation and enhancing the rate of recovery, recycling and reuse of waste
• Trying to make maximum use of renewable energies
• Promoting the level of knowledge and ability of employees with regard to Green Management indicators
• Cultivating and attracting public participation of employees, contractors and other stakeholders
• Supporting green activities by allocating the necessary financial and human resources
• Applying new technologies and supporting projects to improve performance in application of the resources
• Periodic monitoring and review of the performance and continuous improvement of the Green Management System

All executives and employees are expected to consider the provisions of the present statement in their activities and facilitate their realization. May NPC operate as the leader of other enterprises in this field.
